If you already have a different router at home but encountering the following issues:
1. The current router's wireless signal cannot cover all areas;
2. The current router does not have Telephony functionality.
Then you can consider solving the above issues by configuring the TP-Link VoIP DSL modem router into access point mode or wireless router mode.
Setting up the DSL modem router as access point
If you only need to expand the wireless network, you can consider configuring the TP-Link VoIP DSL modem router to be used as an access point.
The specific configuration process can be referred to in the following FAQ.
Setting up the DSL modem router as a regular router
If you want to expand the wireless network and also use Telephony function, we recommend you configure the TP-Link VoIP DSL modem router as a wireless router and connect it behind the main router. In this case, please use Dynamic IP as Internet connection method. In addition, if you find that the Telephony function cannot make normal calls in or out, please check whether the front-end main router has a SIP ALG option. If so, please try to enable this option.
The specific configuration process can be referred to in the following FAQ.
