How to fix a “VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing” error on Windows when starting VIGI VMS

Introduction
Some users use a clean installation of Windows, which lacks VCRUNTIME140.dll. This results in an inability to start VMS Local, requiring the installation of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x86).
Requirements
- PC with Windows system
- VIGI VMS
Configuration
Step 1. Download the correct Installer. Click this link to access the official Microsoft download page:Download vc_redist.x86.exe
Note: This is the 32-bit version required by our software. (If the link doesn’t work, see question #2 in QA section for alternative download steps.)
Step 2. Run the Installer
1. Locate the downloaded file vc_redist.x86.exe (usually in your Downloads folder). The name of file should be “vc_redist.x86.exe”.
2. Double-click the file to start the installation.
Step 3. Follow the Installer Wizard
Follow these steps using the images as reference:
Screen 1: License Agreement
- Check the box next to “I agree to the license terms and conditions”.
- Click the button “Install”.
Screen 2: Allow Changes
- Click the button “Yes”.
Screen 3: Installation Progress
- Wait for the progress bar to complete. Do not close the window.
Screen 4: Completion
- Click the “Close” button to exit.
Step 4. Restart
Restart your computer and launch our software again. The error should now be resolved.
