To ensure equal access for all users, we offer this accessible setup guide. This guide is designed to meet accessibility needs, enabling a successful setup. It will introduce the appearance of your camera, including its ports, buttons, and labels, and then guide you through the setup process.
Step 1. Know about your camera
In this section, we will describe the camera's appearance, including its ports, buttons, and labels.
1. You can find your camera, a power adapter, a power cord, and a Bluetooth button in the package.
Power Adapter: The power adapter is typically a rectangular or square block with a USB Type-A port on one side and a plug on the other side for connecting to the wall socket.
Power Cord: One end connects to the USB Type-A port on the power adapter, and the other end plugs into the USB Type-C power port on the camera base.
Bluetooth Button: Remove the battery insulation tab to power the dimmer button. It will automatically pair with the camera. Tap or rotate the button to turn the nightlight on/off or adjust brightness
2. Next, place your camera on a flat surface.
To ensure the camera is placed correctly, you should position it with the camera lenses facing forward and the Type-C port on the camera base facing backward.
3. After positioning your camera correctly, we will introduce the ports, buttons, and labels on your device in a certain order.
Lenses: For capturing things within their view. The lens on the left is a wide-angle lens for covering the entire nursery, while the lens on the right is a telephoto lens for revealing every detail of your baby's facial expressions.
Microphones: For capturing your voice. They are on the top and bottom of the camera lenses.
System LED: It is right below the microphone on the top. It shows your camera status. You can check the camera status on the Tapo app.
Tilt the camera lens up, open the silicone cover, and you will find the Reset button on the left and the microSD card slot on the right.
RESET Button: The reset button is a circular, raised button. While the camera is on, press and hold the RESET button to reset the camera.
Press and hold for 5 seconds: Reset Wi-Fi settings only
Press and hold for 10 seconds: Reset to factory settings
microSD Card Slot: While facing the front of the camera, insert a microSD card with the notch on the right side, and gold contacts facing the slot.
Turn to the back side of your camera to find the nightlight, speaker, and USB Type-C power port.
Nightlight: For creating the perfect sleep ambiance. You can control brightness with the included Tapo button or the Tapo app.
