TP-Link and F-Secure Expand Partnership to Deliver Next-Generation Home Security in prplWare Ecosystem

October 13, 2025 – TP-Link, a global provider of networking solutions and smart home products, today announced an expanded strategic technology and business development collaboration with F-Secure, a leader in consumer cybersecurity, to deliver advanced security protection to end users of prplWare routers adding to their exceptional AI-driven home Wi-Fi and user experiences. This will empower service providers to deliver next-generation digital home protection with greater flexibility, efficiency, and faster time-to-market.

 

Building on the successful partnership previously established between TP-Link and F-Secure, the extended collaboration into the prpl ecosystem enables service providers to harness open-source, industry-standard software with a modular and microservices-based architecture. Service providers will benefit from containerized service life cycle management that allows for the rapid launch, update, and scaling of new services without disrupting the customer experience or requiring significant integration efforts.

The TAUC (TP-Link Aginet Unified Cloud, based on TR-369) prplWare management platform supports both the broad portfolio of TP-Link prplWare products and certified third-party prplWare routers. This provides service providers with maximum flexibility in selecting prplWare routers to meet diverse deployment needs.

 

TP-Link has achieved a breakthrough with the plug-and-play prpl SENSE OCI containerized service. Rather than utilizing traditional service delivery that requires primary firmware updates on certified prplWare routers, it leverages the TP-Link–optimized prpl SENSE OCI package together with the advanced TAUC prpl LCM controller to enable fully dynamic service loading, adaptive management, and faster feature rollout. This revolutionary approach forms the foundation for TAUC one-stop shop solutions offering container services and hosting platforms for service providers utilizing USP-based LXC container life cycle management, the TAUC Sense license API, and the Aginet mobile app. With these solutions, service providers can quickly launch home security services, generate additional revenue, and maximize ROI—without complex integration or lengthy certification processes.

 

TP-Link will soon launch the F-Secure Sense containerized service providing powerful protection for all devices in the home from advanced malicious attacks. Users will be able to create parental control profiles and assign internet access permissions for client devices. The TP-Link Aginet mobile app will be able to enhance the user experience with real-time security alerts, intuitive parental control management, and comprehensive weekly and monthly home security reports for subscribers to the F-Secure Sense containerized service.
