Software and Firmware Support on End of Service Products
TP-Link is aware of the security vulnerability affecting multiple router brands. We identified the vulnerability and prioritized resolving the issue quickly with a firmware update. We strongly recommend that all users update to the latest firmware to ensure the highest level of security.
Note that the affected products have reached their End of Service (EOS) and are no longer receiving active support, including security updates. For enhanced protection, we recommend that customers upgrade to newer hardware to ensure optimal performance and security.
At TP-Link, supporting our users and maintaining security remains a top priority. In addition to installing the firmware update, TP-Link also recommends the following steps:
- Reboot and restore the router to ensure the local management webpage is accessible.
- Avoid using the remote management function and instead manage your product through TP-Link’s Official Mobile Application Tether.
